The Precision Vendor Matching service, or PVM for short has, since 1992, "earned its stripes" from successfully matching vendors with hundreds of our clients, both big and small, for projects that have included the modes such as: classroom learning, e-learning, blended learning, simulations, and satellite. A great time and effort-saver, for clients, PVM has resulted in some remarkable successes. Using PVM is like opening a window on a vast landscape of resources. With over 3000 companies in our Vendor Network as well as the wide-world of vendors at our fingertips, there virtually isn't a need that we don't have a selection of vendors for. Our clients are the training and HR managers and directors from companies that include many Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies. There are really two distinct parts to PVM:
The Premier Search serviceA Premier Search begins when a company with a requirement contacts us with an opportunity to help them find the vendor that is just the right fit, from the many potential thousands out there. The client may find Connect4Training on the Internet, through a colleague referral, at a trade show, or through a referral from an Affiliate. Or, we may find them as a result of one of our Account Managers uncovering the need through a sales call. Regardless of how we meet, our job is to ensure that our client gets our personalized "high-touch" attention as we learn everything we can about the context within which the training will take place, the audience, and the kind of business results the client company needs. There is really no such thing as a 'routine' search for us. Every search, like every one of our clients, is unique. For every search, we put together a matrix, which helps us compare the vendors' backgrounds, offerings, and pricing structures, with the client's needs. Then, we systematically search for vendors that best match-up in the matrix. We then confirm and verify the vendors' claims and background, and put together a brief description of what each vendor brings to the table for each client, and for each and every need. At this point what we've helped our client accomplish is, "funnel" potentially hundred's of vendors, and narrow the field to less than a handful of prospective vendors that "very closely" match the client's needs. We then work with the client directly to help them make their final selection. To do this job successfully takes three fundamental things: knowledge of the vendor marketplace gained through many years in the industry, information, a system for attracting qualified candidates, and the talent to match-up the client's needs with the vendor's qualifications and history. The Express Search serviceWe realize that there are times when you have to have your results fast (within 1- 5 days), or, your training requirements are fairly straightforward and don't require an indepth search of the marketplace. With our Express Search service, we still explore with you your organization's and employees' learning needs and we strive to find vendors that best-fit your needs. However, we don't provide you with as indepth a search, nor do you receive a comprehensive a written report with this service. The result is, you still get a high-quality, high-touch search service that will provide you with 1-3 vendor choices. The Premier Comparative ReportAn important feature of the PVM Premier Search service is the renowned Premier Comparative Report. This document is produced at the end of our vendor search, and represents, in print, a summary of what our clients need to know about the vendors we are presenting to them at the end of our search. We never over-load our client with information that isn't relevant to their needs. Within each Premier Comparative Report are the Vendor Profiles on each vendor we are presenting to the client. Each Vendor Profile is tailored to the client's needs, and paints a detailed picture of the vendor, again, relevant to the client's needs. With the Vendor Profile, we tell the client what we know about the vendor - who they are, what they do, who they've worked for & the results they've produced, why they represent a potential solution for the client, and what kind of fees they will likely charge for their services.
